Abstract
New technologies are emerging all the time that have the potential to change the way we live and work. One such technology is 3D scanning, which is increasingly being used in various industries for various applications. Describing and applying the method of 3D scanning is explained in this paper. The difference between a few scanning methods is mentioned as well. The data obtained from the scanning process was then exported in a text file and manipulated with a python program. The module reads the text file and prints three figures onto the screen. Two figures contain 3D scatter plots of the obtained cloud point data and a plane best fitted to the points. The third figure is a 2D scatter plot that contains a polynomial curve of the nth degree fitted to the x and y coordinates of the points that belong to the fitted plane. Fitted curves can be used to help visualize data, estimate values of a function where no data are available, and summarize relationships between variables. Some mathematical material is also supplied to aid in the understanding of curve fitting.

Stalno se pojavljuju nove tehnologije koje imaju potencijal promijeniti način na koji živimo i radimo. Ove tehnologije imaju potencijal poboljšati našu produktivnost, komunikaciju i kvalitetu života. Jedna tehnologija koja postaje sve popularnija u raznim industrijama je 3D skeniranje. Rad daje pregled procesa 3D skeniranja, uključujući opis kako se tehnika koristi i njene primjene. U članku se govori o razlikama između nekoliko metoda skeniranja. Podaci koji su prikupljeni u procesu skeniranja zatim su prebačeni u tekstualnu datoteku i analizirani pomoću programa python. Modul čita tekstualnu datoteku i ispisuje tri broja. Dvije slike sadrže 3D dijagrame raspršenosti dobivenih podataka o točkama zamućenja i ravninu koja najbolje pristaje točkama. Treća slika je 2D dijagram raspršenosti točaka koje su prilagođene polinomskoj krivulji n-tog stupnja. Uklopljene krivulje mogu se koristiti za vizualizaciju podataka, procjenu vrijednosti funkcije tamo gdje podaci nisu dostupni i sažetak odnosa između varijabli. Ova tehnika je korisna za istraživanje skupova podataka i razumijevanje složenih odnosa između varijabli. Također je dano nešto matematičkog materijala koji pomaže u razumijevanju procesa uklapanja krivulje.
