Abstract
Ovaj završni rad obrađuje razvoj „Devourer“ videoigre, 2D platformera napravljenog u Unity okruženju. Cilj igre je izbjegavanje zamki, otključavanje novih likova i dolazak do kraja nivoa, a kao nenaglašen cilj dodan je pronalazak tajni. Unity je 3D/2D game engine i IDE koji se oslanja na skriptiranje u C#, objektno-orijentiranom programskom jeziku visoke razine. Pogodan je za izradu igara za razne platforme. Platformer igre spadaju u žanr akcijskih igara i cilj im je precizno upravljanje likom i skakanje na platforme, izbočine ili druge objekte, a kamera je ili statična ili prati lika (horizontalno ili vertikalno). U svrhu izrade videoigre napravljene su razne komponente, većinski nacrtane u programu Clip Studio Paint i zatim isprogramirane u Unityju, od likova kojima igrač upravlja do zamki koje mu predstavljaju prepreku. Opisane su skripte koje se brinu za ponašanje komponenti i za njihovu interakciju. Pokriven je i proces izrade različitih verzija igre dok je bila u razvoju, a provedena su i mjerenja performansi igre na različitim platformama i razna mišljenja recenzenata.
Abstract (english)
This bachelor thesis describes the development of „Devourer“, a 2D platformer built in the Unity game engine. The goal of the game is to avoid traps, unlock new forms and reach the end of the level, with the added hidden goal of finding the game's secrets. Unity is a 3D/2D game engine and IDE relying on user-created scripts created in C#, a general-purpose, multiparadigm programming language. It is suitable for the creation of cross-platform games. Platformer games are a subgenre of action games and revolve heavily around players precisely controlling a character and guiding it over platforms and ledges, with the camera being static or moving along with the character, be it horizontally or vertically. Hand-made assets, created in Clip Studio Paint and scripted using Unity, were used in the creation of the game. This includes various forms obtainable by the player and a multitude of traps, as well as all of the menus. The scripts and their methods, responsible for the behaviour of the main components, are described in-depth. Performance tests conducted on multiple platforms are also included, along with paraphrased reviews.
