Abstract
This thesis was intended virtually as a guide to build a battery pack for specific vehicle on a specific track. Required power and energy consumption are very important parameters in designing the battery. These two criteria were used to dimension the pack, after analyzing the energy consumption needs by a lap time simulation. For evaluating the design with special attention on thermal effects, a combination of CFD simulations and a program written in MATLAB was used to analyze the thermal... More performance of the battery. A model in Simulink was simulated to evaluate the voltage drop and the state of charge at the end of the race. Optimization of the cooling air duct geometry was done by connecting an optimizer, a CAD model, and a numerical simulator. This process minimized the flow losses. Manufacturing of the battery pack was described, along with the assembling process. 3D printing technology was used to manufacture cell holders and the intake duct. The battery container was built as a composite (carbon/kevlar) structure, copper sheet and bars were used as current collectors and busbars. The final design is functional, and the following steps should involve extensive testing and validation on the racetrack. Less

Ovaj diplomski rad je zamišljen praktički kao uputstvo za izradu baterijskog paketa za određeno vozilo na određenoj stazi. Potrebna snaga i potrošnja energije vrlo su važni parametri pri projektiranju baterije. Ova dva kriterija korištena su za dimenzioniranje pakiranja, nakon analize potreba potrošnje energije pomoću simulacije vozila na stazi. Za potvrđivanje rezultata, a s posebnom pozornošću na toplinske učinke, korištena je kombinacija CFD simulacija i programa napisanog u MATLAB-u... More za analizu ponašanja baterije s obzirom na zagrijavanje. Simuliran je model u Simulink-u kako bi se predvidio pad napona i stanje napunjenosti na kraju utrke. Optimizacija geometrije usisne cijevi za hlađenje napravljena je povezivanjem optimizatora, CAD modela i numeričkog simulatora. Ovim procesom minimizirani su gubici strujanja u cijevi. Opisana je izrada baterijskog paketa, zajedno s postupkom montaže. Tehnologija 3D ispisa korištena je za proizvodnju držača baterijskih ćelija i usisne cijevi, spremnik za baterije izgrađen je kao kompozitna (ugljična vlakna / kevlar) struktura, bakreni lim i šipke korišteni su kao sabirnice toka struje. Konačni dizajn je funkcionalan, a sljedeći koraci trebali bi uključivati opsežna ispitivanja i validaciju na trkaćoj stazi. Less
