Abstract
U prvom djelu diplomskog rada prikazana su moderna kruta jedra. Opisana je njihova primjena, podjela, povijest, evolucija i suvremeni trendovi. Analizirana je geometrija, parametri koji utječu na performanse i prikazana osnovna problematika. U drugom numeričkom djelu rada provedena je 2D CFD simulacija za različite kutove otklona pri rotaciji repa jedra. Uspoređivani su načini generiranja mreže elemenata i modeli turbulencije za različite oblike geometrije pri promjenjivim parametrima simulacije. Rezultati su prikazani preko krivulja koeficijenata uzgona na CL/α dijagramima. Radi boljeg predviđanja problema odvajanja graničnog sloja pri velikim napadnim kutovima koristi se Transition SST model turbulencije i modificira se mreža elemenata u zoni gdje se stvaraju vrtlozi. Na kraju rada u jednostavnom optimizacijskom modelu geometrija jedra je optimirana s ciljem postizanja najvećih vrijednosti uzgona i najmanjih otpora. Korištena je višeciljna optimizacija primjenom genetskih algoritama, te su rezultati prikazani preko pareto rješenja.
Abstract (english)
The first part of the thesis presents modern rigid sails. Their application, division, history, evolution and contemporary trends are described. The geometry, parameters that affect on the performance are analyzed and the basic issues are presented. In the second numerical part of the paper, a 2D CFD simulation was performed for different deflection angles during the rotation of the sail tail. Ways of generating a network of elements and models of turbulence for different forms of geometry with variable simulation parameters were compared. The results are presented via curves of lift coefficients on CL / α diagrams. In order to better predict the boundary layer separation problem at large angles of attack, the Transition SST turbulence model is used and the network of elements in the zone where vortices are created is modified. At the end of the work in a simple optimization model, the sail geometry is optimized with the aim of achieving the highest lift values and the lowest drag values. Multiple criteria optimization using genetic algorithms was used, and the results were presented via a Pareto solution
