Abstract
Električna propulzija broda pogonjena elementarnim energetskim sklopkama koje čine pretvarače za manipuliranje oblikom i iznosom električne energije, čime se omogućava pogon promjenjivom brzinom predstavlja tehnologiju budućnosti i sadašnjosti koja pronalazi svoje mjesto u raznim vrstama brodova zbog povećane učinkovitosti, smanjene potrošnje goriva, manjih emisija, bolje upravljivosti i većeg poteznog momenta te mogućnosti potpune automatizacije. Razvoj novih tehnologija pohrane velike količine energije u vidu elektrokemijskih baterija i gorivih ćelija s vodikom kao gorivom mogli bi u potpunosti izbaciti motore s unutrašnjim sagorijevanjem zbog raznih regulatornih obaveza.
Abstract (english)
Electric ship propulsion consisting of elementary power switches that make building blocks for power switches for manipulating of electric energy flow and value are used for variable frequency drives. This technology is technology of ship propulsion of present and future because of its high efficiency, reduced fuel consumption and emissions, good manageability, torque and ablity to be fully automated. Future development of huge energy storage devices such as new batteries and fuel cells fueled by hydrogen are going to replace internal combustion engines as new regulatories are put on travel industry.
