Abstract
Poznato je da je putovanje jedina stvar koja se kupuje, a čini nas bogatijima. Međutim, odabir prikladne lokacije predstavlja veliki problem za putnike zbog prevelikog broja mogućnosti. Pretraga za lokacijama postala je vrlo dugotrajna zbog velike količine informacija na Internetu. U posljednjih par desetljeća, kao posljedica sve većeg napretka YouTube-a, Netflix-a, Amazona i sličnih web servisa, sustavi za davanje preporuka zauzimaju sve važniju ulogu u životu ljudi. Namjena sustava za davanje preporuka je preporučiti korisnicima stvari koje bi im se svidjele te je iz tog razloga sustav za preporuku lokacija za putovanja pravo rješenje problema s kojima se ljudi susreću prilikom odabira destinacije. Ljudi putuju iz različitih razloga te su iskustva svakog pojedinca na putovanju na određenu lokaciju različita. Na odabir destinacije utječu mnogi faktori, poput starosti, kondicije, razloga putovanja i slično. Iz tog razloga implementiran je sustav za preporuku putovanja koji se temelji na metodama strojnog učenja. Aplikacija koja koristi implementirani sustav pruža korisnicima mogućnost da unesu lokacije koje su im se svidjele na prethodnim putovanjima te da na temelju njih dobiju preporuke sličnih lokacija koje bi im se mogle svidjeti. Osim toga, korisnici mogu odabrati koje su im stavke najvažnije prilikom putovanja (zabava, cijene, ...) te im sustav predlaže lokacije koje su vodeće u tom području. Na aplikaciji je prikazano i deset najbolje ocijenjenih lokacija od strane korisnika te deset najboljih lokacija u određenim kategorijama.
Abstract (english)
It is known that travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. However, choosing a suitable location is a big problem for travelers due to too many options. Searching for travel locations has become very time consuming due to the large amount of data on the Internet. Thanks to the web services like YouTube, Netflix and Amazon, that have been rapidly growing in the last couple of decades, recommender systems are gaining an increasingly important role in people’s lives. The purpose of the recommender system is to recommend users things they would like and for this reason the travel recommendation system is the right solution to the problems that people face when choosing a destination. People travel for different reasons and everyone has different experience of traveling to a particular location. The choice of destination is influenced by many factors, such as age, physical condition, reasons for traveling and others. For this reason, a travel recommendation system based on machine learning methods has been implemented. The application that uses the implemented system gives users the opportunity to enter locations that they liked on previous trips and based on them system presents users recommendations of similar locations that they might like. Users can also choose what is the most important to them when traveling (entertainment, prices, ...) and the system suggests locations that are leading in those categories. The application also shows ten best rated locations by users and ten best locations in certain categories.
