Abstract
Opisana je povijest razvoja aerodinamike u MotoGP natjecanju i protumačena svhra krila na motociklu. Razvojem računalne tehnologije omogućeno je dizajniranje i optimiranje raznih aerodinamičkih uređaja. Opisane su parametarske krivulje i SubD površine. Opisana je turbulencija i različiti modeli turbulencije koji se mogu koristiti u CFD simulacijama. Objašnjena je teorijska pozadina optimizacije, varijabla optimizacije, funkcija cilja i ograničenja. Opisane su glavne operacije prilikom CAD modeliranja poput različitih SubD funkcija u Rhino7 programu i funkcija zaglađivanja površine u Design Modeler-u. Profil krila je preuzet iz međunarodne knjižnice profila i prenesen u CAD. U Design Modeler-u je također prikazan proces prilagođavanja spilne-a točkama i proces korištenja funkcije Skin za modeliranje krila. Opisan je postupak odabira brzine strujanja zraka. Objašnjen je način validiranja mreže konačnih volumena i način na koji se velik broj varijabla optimizacije smanjio. Prikazane su postavke i rezultati prve optimizacije i objašnjena je potreba za drugom otpimizacijom. Objašnjen je odabir varijabla za drugu optimizaciju. Objašnjeni su svi rezultati. U zaključku su dana zapažanja i prijedlozi za daljnje optimiranje krila motocikla.
Abstract (english)
The history of the development of aerodynamics in the MotoGP competition is described and purpose of the winglets on the motorcycle is interpreted. The development of computer technology has made it possible to design and optimize various aerodynamic devices. Parametric curves and SubD surfaces are described. Turbulence and different turbulence models that can be used in CFD simulations are described. The theoretical background of optimization, optimization variable, objective function and constraints are explained. Main operations during CAD modeling are described, such as various SubD functions in the Rhino7 program and surface smoothing functions in Design Modeler. The aerodynamic profile was taken from the international profile library and transferred to CAD. Also shown in Design Modeler is the process of adjusting the spilne to points and the process of using the Skin function to model the wing. The procedure for selecting the air flow speed is described. The method of validating the finite volume mesh and the way in which the large number of optimization variables were reduced are explained. The settings and results of the first optimization are shown and the need for the second optimization is explained. The selection of variables for the second optimization is explained. All results are explained. In the conclusion, observations and suggestions for further optimization of the motorcycle wings are given.
