Abstract
This thesis describes the Android Studio platform and the development of mobile applications within the platform. As part of the practical assignment, a simple advertising application was created. The first chapter describes Android as an operating system and its versions from the beginning of evolving to today. This chapter also emphasizes all the features that Android brings to its users. The next chapter is strictly focused on Android development. The official IDE was described together with the programming languages and methods used for this project. The final chapter is focused on the practical part of this assignment, a thorough explanation of the logic and functionality of the application itself. It explains what the application does when started and how and why it behaves during use.
Abstract (croatian)
Završni rad opisuje okruženje Android Studio te daje uvid u razvoj aplikacija unutar samog okruženja. Za praktični dio ovog završnog rada izrađena je jednostavna aplikacija za oglašavanje. Prvo poglavlje opisuje Android kao operativni sustav i njegove verzije od početka razvoja do danas. Ovo poglavlje također naglašava sve značajke koje Android donosi svojim korisnicima. Sljedeće poglavlje je usmjereno na razvijanje samog sustava. Obrađeni su programski jezici koji su se koristili za izradu praktičnog rada te samo okruženje; Android Studio. Posljednje poglavlje usmjereno je na praktični dio ovog rada. Temeljito objašnjava logiku i funkcionalnosti same aplikacije. Također daje uvid što aplikacija radi kada se pokrene te kako i zašto se ponaša tijekom korištenja.
