Abstract
Ovim završnim radom objašnjeni su najčešći uzroci koji dovode do rušenja mostova. Zbog prednosti željeza u odnosu na ostale materijale, poseban naglasak stavljen je na metalne konstrukcije mostova i razloge njihovih urušavanja. Na primjeru urušavanja koje se dogodilo prilikom izgradnje mosta Quebec u Kanadi analizirano je urušavanje do kojeg je došlo zbog pogreške inženjera za vrijeme projektiranja, a koje je dovelo do velikih ljudskih žrtava.
Abstract (english)
This paper explains the most common causes that lead to the collapse of bridges. Due to the advantages of iron over other materials, special emphasis was placed on the metal structures of bridges and the reasons for their collapse. The example of the collapse that occurred during the construction of the Quebec Bridge in Canada analyzed the collapse that occurred due to an engineer's error during the design, which resulted in large human casualties
