Abstract
Ericsson kroz povijest svoga djelovanja aktivno radi na razvoju blade platformi, a trenutno se unutar Ericssona unaprjeđuje BSP 8100. Istovremena uslužnost poslužitelja koji fizički zauzimaju malo prostora, a da pri tom troše malo energije dovela je do aktivnog rada EBS-a i njegovog korištenja na tržištu. SMX pločica, kao sastavni dio EBS-a, trenutno ima najveći prioritet razvoja. Riječ je o ugrađenom uređaju koji obavlja višeslojnu funkcija, odnosno ulogu mrežnog preklopnika na drugoj razini mrežnog sloja i ulogu usmjerivača trećeg mrežnog sloja. Fizički je to spoj SCX i CMX pločica, također komponenti EBS-a. SMX integracija u mrežnom sustavu, način kojim je upravljana ta pločica i njena kontrola podacima kroz mrežu osnovna su tema ovog Diplomskog rada. Nadgledati mrežni sustav znači upoznati protokole kojima manipuliramo uređajima na mreži. Podrška za SMX operacije i upravljanje (OAM) uključuje SNMP (engl. Simple Network Management Protocol) protokol za upravljanje konfiguracijom drugoga mrežnog sloja, infrastrukturne usluge i NETCONF (engl. Network Configuration Protocol) sučelje za upravljanje konfiguracijom trećeg mrežnog sloja. Opisan je sustav koji je postigao veliki uspjeh na tržištu i težnja za usavršavanjem istoga je sveprisutna. U sklopu ovoga rada opisana je funkcija integrirana s ciljem postizanja što optimalnijeg rada infrastrukturnog sustava, uz napredno softversko rješenje razvijeno od strane EBS tima.
Abstract (english)
Throughout the history, Ericsson has been actively working on the development of the blade platform. Blade Server platform 8100 is currently being upgraded as part of Ericsson's product. The SMX board, as an integral part of EBS, currently has the highest development priority. It is a device that performs multi-layer functionality, has the role of the assembly of the Second network layer and the role of the router of the Third network layer. Physically it is a combination of SCX and CMX boards, also components of EBS. SMX integration into the network system, the method of board management and its control of data through the network are the main topics of this thesis. Network system monitoring means getting to know the protocol by which we manipulate devices on the network. Support for SMX operations and management (OAM) includes SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) protocol for managing the configuration of the Second network layer, as well as infrastructure services and NETCONF (Network Configuration Protocol) interface for managing the configuration of the Third network layer. The system that has been described has achieved great success in the market and the desire to improve it is ubiquitous. As part of this thesis, the advanced functionality is described with the aim of achieving the most optimal operation of the multi-core infrastructure system, with an advanced softver solution developed by the EBS team.
