Abstract
The task of the thesis was to develop an application for the supply and demand of workers in one of the mobile platforms. The application was developed for Android mobile devices using the Java programming language and the Android studio development environment. At the beginning of the work, an analysis of existing applications offering the same service was conducted. The apps were picked based on the number of downloads, reviews, and ratings they received on the Google Play Store. Special... More attention is paid to the elements of registration, profile creation and communication between users. After that, the development technologies that were used to realize the application were explained. User authentication and data manipulation were done using the Firebase platform. An overview of Android as a mobile operating system, as well as the used programming languages and development environment, is given. Use cases and requirement specifications are defined in the next chapter. The database design, the method of storing and retrieving data, and the way of realizing the server part of the program are all presented. In the final part of the paper, screenshots of the application interface are attached along with a description of the implemented functionalities. Less

Zadatak diplomskog rada je bio razviti aplikaciju za ponudu i potražnju radnika u nekoj od mobilnih platformi. Aplikacija je razvijena za Android mobilne uređaje koristeći Java programski jezik i Android studio razvojno okruženje. Na početku rada „Razvoj aplikacije za ponudu i potražnju radnika“ provedena je analiza postojećih aplikacija na tržištu koje nude sličnu uslugu. Aplikacije su izabrane na temelju ocjene, recenzijama i broju preuzimanja na Google Play-u. Posebna pažnja je... More posvećena elementima registracije, kreiranja profila i komunikaciji među korisnicima. Nakon toga su objašnjene razvojne tehnologije koje su se koristile za realizaciju aplikacije. Za autentikaciju i pohranu podataka korištena je Firebase platforma. Opisani su načini implementacije korištenih servisa i navedene prednosti i mane u odnosu na ostale pružatelje istih usluga. Dan je osvrt na Android kao mobilni operacijski sustav, te na korištene programske jezike i razvojno okruženje. U daljnjem poglavlju definirani su slučajevi upotrebe i specifikacije zahtjeva. Opisan je način realizacije serverskog dijela aplikacije, dizajn baze podataka, način pohrane i dohvaćanja podataka.
