The bachelor thesis describes the basic types of electronic filters, with special emphasis on passive bandpass filters in the automotive industry. Electronic filters are electronic devices that process supplied signals to the input terminals, amplifying or attenuating a certain frequency spectrum of the input signal and emitting the processed or filtered signal at the output terminals. The simplest division of filters is into active and passive filters, and the division depending on the function they perform is called frequency selective filters, which are described in this thesis. Every type of filter has its own specific characteristics such as the cut-off frequency at which they leak or stop signals. Measurements like input and output voltage, cut-off frequency measurements or attenuation measurements can be performed on electronic filters. These measurements can be performed using various devices such as a multimeter, oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer. Electronic filters have a wide application in almost all areas of electronics. The most common application of these filters are in radio - technology, audio - technology, in third and octave filters and in the automotive industry. In the practical part of the final thesis, at the very end, based on the acquired theoretical knowledge, a simple band-pass filter is developed and it has a wide application. The filter is made by connecting a low-pass filter to the high-pass filter circuit. Measurements of input and output voltage, cut-off frequency and filter attenuation were performed especially on the high-pass filter and the low-pass filter, and finally on their combination which is bandpass filter. Based on the measurement results, it was concluded that the cut-off frequency depends on the values of the passive elements that we used in the passive filter.
