Abstract
Ovaj završni rad opisuje radarsko ispitivanje raznovrsnih kabela korištenjem mjernog uređaja koji radi na principu refleksije impulsa. U početnom dijelu rada dana je definicija kabela, njihova podjela i područja primjene te je prikazana njihova građa i materijali od kojih se proizvode. Analizirane su sličnosti i razlike između komunikacijskog i energetskog kabela. Potom su opširnije opisane komunikacijski kabeli s upletenim paricama koji imaju primjenu u ethernet povezivanju, njihov izgled i karakteristike, načini spajanja žica i vrste nastavaka koje koriste. U radu je definirana i u praksi odrađena detekcija kvara u kabelima korištenjem impulsnog reflektometra te su opisane vrste kvarova i grešaka koje se susreću u svakodnevnici. Na kraju rada nalaze se slikovni rezultati ispitivanja te ispod svake slike je dan izgled i vrsta kvara.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes radar-based testing of various cables by using pulse reflectometer as a measuring device. Cable definition, subdivisiom and it's area of application are all theoretically explained in the first section of the paper, as well as the their manufacturing materials with a display of their structure. Following this, the similarities and differences between communication and electric cables are analyzed. Furthermore, twisted pair cables used in ethernet are described, as well as their appearance, characteristics, the way their wires connect and the types of connector they use. The paper also defines the detection of the cable foults, both theoretically and in practice by using pulse reflectometer, while also noting down the types of faults and errors that occur in everyday life. Finally, pictures of testings are shown with the description of fault type located bellow the image.
