Abstract
U svrhu diplomskog rada, implementiran je sustav za spajanje video tokova u realnom vremenu koristeći MERN stack te WebSocket i WebRTC protokole. Za izradu serverske strane korišteni su Node.js, Express.js te WebSocket i WebRTC protokoli, dok je za izradu klijentske strane korišten React okvir. Kao baza podataka korištena je nerelacijska MongoDB baza podataka. Na početku ovog rada nalazi se teorijski dio, dok se na kraju rada nalazi praktični dio projektnog zadatka. U prvom dijelu rada opisane su mogućnosti korištenih tehnologija, posebice WebRTC-a, proučeni su funkcionalni i nefunkcionalni zahtjevi koje je aplikacija morala ispuniti te je definirana arhitektura sustava koja se sastoji od web sučelja, servera i baze podataka. U zadnjim poglavljima prelazi se na samu implementaciju sustava koja se podijelila na tri dijela: implementaciju baze podataka, implementaciju serverske strane te implementaciju klijentske strane te će ukratko biti objašnjen proces postavljanja sustava na Internet.
Abstract (english)
For the purpose of the thesis, a system was implemented for connecting video streams in real time using the MERN stack and WebSocket and WebRTC protocols. Node.js, Express.js, WebSocket and WebRTC protocols were used to create the server side, while the React framework was used to create the client side. The non-relational MongoDB database was used as the database. At the beginning of this thesis there is a theoretical part, while at the end of the thesis is a practical part of the project assignment. In the first part of the work, the capabilities of used technologies, especially WebRTC, are described, the functional and non-functional requirements that the application had to fulfill are studied and the system architecture, which consists of a web interface, server and database is defined. In the last chapters, the thesis will describe the implementation of the system, which was divided into three parts: database implementation, server-side implementation, and client-side implementation, and the process of setting up the system on the Internet will be briefly explained.
